The sun is out and it’s + 30C – normal conditions in France for early June. However, the story of the week didn’t fit the norm regarding the weather.
Tuesday 4th June | The final stage of the foundations – laying the concrete to complete the base.
A final day of work this week, in my absence, to add the last layer in readiness for the concrete topping next week.
Tuesday 21st May – I am only going to work until lunchtime as I am flying back to the UK this afternoon.
Rain held off all day and a lot progress made putting in the infill and completing the foundation wall.
Thursday 16th May – Pipework completed and sewer pipes all glued together, no going back.
Wednesday 15th May – Well today is my birthday but no rest for the wicked and a full day on site with Tony the builder.
After yesterday’s issue with the crane bursting a hydraulic pipe, it was down to waiting for the crane to be repaired.
I was hoping for a good start to this week. The day began well with Tony and I levelling off the infill in the slab area…
